Thesis Topics

Master's and Project Studies

  • Feeling vs. Seeing: A Comparative Study of Response Latency and Interpretation Accuracy to/of Vibrotactile and Visual Stimuli: This thesis builds on an artifact designed in the MITMed project and investigates the developed system relative to existing communication channels in digitally enabled interaction settings. Method: experimental research with quantitative analysis. Feel free to reach out!

  • In cooperation with the Surgery Department of the University Medical Center, we are looking for a project study group of students to implement a smart visualization tool to track doctoral training progress during residency. Previous programming knowledge, or the willingness to acquire relevant skills during the project studies, is required. The group will apply Design Science Research methods throughout the process.

  • In cooperation with the Health Campus Göttingen, multiple Master's theses/project study topics in the field of technology-enabled/technology-enhanced speech and language therapy can be worked on.
Teams of interested students can work on different aspects surrounding the subject, especially requirements elicitation and process analysis for the digital transformation of therapy practices, and design of Virtual Reality applications for speech and language therapy. Other focus areas in the domain can be discussed to find a suitable research idea.
