Santiago Castiblanco
Santiago was a Pre-Doctoral research fellow at the Chair of Development Economics / CeMIS from February 2024 until September 2025. His research focuses on the socio-economic consequences of the Industrial Revolution in the English society in the 18th century. He is interested in economic history, international trade, migration, and inequality. Santiago holds a MSc in Development Economics from the University of Göttingen and a BSc in Finance and International Trade from Universidad del Rosario, Colombia. He has previously worked in research for the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and the Research Group of Health Economics of the Bernhard-Nocht-Institut für Tropenmedizin (BNITM).
