Erasmus+ Key Action 171 - Mobility with partner countries outside of Europe
The Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (individual mobility) supports both European and international exchange: The KA 171 funding line is used to establish cooperation with universities from non-European countries in order to enable university members worldwide to study abroad. Depending on the respective region of the world, the mobility of students, teachers and staff coming to the German university (incoming) and leaving Germany (outgoing) is funded. Student mobility (bachelor’s and master’s degree, doctoral programme) is supported for a period of three to twelve months; the mobility of university staff (teaching, further education and training) can be supported for a period of five days to two months. The Göttingen International Office provides information on exchange opportunities and the requirements for participation in the programme. The aim is to offer people from all over the world the opportunity to study or train abroad. In addition to a monthly grant, participants also receive a travel allowance. In addition, grants for sustainable travel and special grants to compensate for any disadvantages have been set up.
