LALUC network: Our activities
The LALUC network fosters inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives on land use under climate change and supports the collaboration between natural and social scientists on the basis of shared goals and values and with the aim to empower local expertise. The university has well-established groups working on forestry, biodiversity, ecological systems, geography, agricultural sciences, and economic and social sciences. This expertise is particularly relevant for the study of land use and climate change in Latin America. Göttingen builts on already established connections and expertise in the Global South.
Online seminar series and guest lectures
LALUC will start an bi-weekly online seminar series on Friday afternoons. It will be a space to learn more about interdisciplinary research methods and to exchange ideas on joint transdisciplinary projects among LALUC members. Occasionally, Latin American researchers present their work at the University of Göttingen. Everyone is very welcome to join, also for coffee, and tea afterwards.
