Prof. Dr. Alfred Simon is an adjunct professor at the Medical Faculty of the Georg-August University of Göttingen.From 2010 to 2018 he represented the chair of Prof. Dr. BettinaSchöne-Seifert took over at the Institute for Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine at the University of Münster.
Academic background
He is a member of the professional societies Academy for Ethics in Medicine (AEM), the German Society for Palliative Medicine (DGP) and the Committee for Ethical and Medical-Legal Fundamental Questions of the German Medical Association. He is also the chairman of the Ethics Working Group of the Standing Commission on Organ Transplantation of the German Medical Association.
