| Beschreibung | Georg Bohlmann was the first lecturer in the „Seminar for actuarial sciences“ founded in 1895 in Göttingen It is the origin of our institute. Convincing arguments show that Bohlmann suggested the probability part of Hilbert's sixth problem. He has formulated first parts of a system of axioms for probability theory, considered noteworthy by Hilbert. Others ridiculed these attempts. 33 years later Kolmogorov suggested his famous systems of axioms. It contained the Bohlmann axioms, but this fact remained unnoticed. |
