My research interests revolve around how changes in land-use are impacting biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and ecosystem service supply. Thus far my main research focus has been on agricultural landscapes and semi-natural grasslands, how land degradation is impacting biodiversity patterns, ecosystem functioning and whether restoration efforts are still timely and capable of assisting ecosystem recovery in the time of changing climate conditions.
Since June 2026, I joined the Functional Agrobiodiversity Group and I am working as a postdoctoral researcher under ‘KOOPERATIV’ project aiming to disentangle the relationships between landscape diversity, agri-environmental schemes (flower field implementation), biodiversity and ecosystem service supply in agricultural landscapes.
