Student Consultation in Qualitative Research

• Assistance in preparing for the field, in designing and conducting research with qualitative methods as well as in the presentation of research findings
• Advice is given on the whole range of qualitative research techniques for data collection and analysis (interview techniques, group discussions, ethnography, discourse analysis, photo- and video analysis, analysis of documents and artifacts etc.)
• Library for literature research covering books on qualitative methods and interpretive sociology
• This consulting offer is for Bachelor and Master Students

The advisory service for qualitative social research is currently being redesigned. For methodological questions and brief consultations, students are welcome to attend the regular office hours of staff members in the Qualitative Social Research Division. Students planning to use qualitative methods in their theses are particularly encouraged to attend the “BA Research Workshop” and “MA Research Workshop” seminars.
