Paths into Science Management
In recent years, science management has evolved into an attractive and diverse career field for academics with doctoral degrees. To highlight the variety of roles and the requirements for entering the field of science management to doctoral candidates and postdocs, the Göttingen Interdisciplinary Graduate Schools, in collaboration with other partners, provide several offers.

Schnupperworkshop (in German)
Der jährliche Schnupperworkshop "Wissenschaftsmanagement - ist das was für mich?" bietet in wenigen Stunden einen ersten Überblick über Tätigkeiten und Anforderungen im Wissenschaftsmanagement und trägt dazu bei, sich über die eigenen Interessen und Kompetenzen in diesem Berufsfsfeld klarer zu werden.

Job shadowing opportunities provide exclusive insights into the field of science management through a temporary immersion in the day-to-day work of staff from university departments or central administrative units, or from non-university research institutions on the Göttingen Campus. A job shadowing assignment typically lasts a total of one week. It can also be spread out flexibly over individual days, but should be completed within a calendar year.
